Hi there,

Hope you are all doing good, just wanted to know if someone can help me with a piece of advice on how to make a sound to sound elastic, or is there a good vst for sounds which are like elastic that bend in your ears/head.

Is there any good VST or effect to obtain these psychedelic rubber sounds?

I hope someone can understand which sounds i mean!! so far the help provided in this forum has been awesome!!

thanks a lot in advance for any provided help!!

i ve been trying to make some so called rubber .liquid noises...they way i do it is play around with the lfo of usually a 303 based sound +a lil phaser+ delay..if u do tweak the lfo not so fast ,and not so slow(somewhere inthe mid range..)u can get this sound...the delay is the most important when doin this ..im sorry if u havent been able to understand ..but ive tried to explain it the best tht i can....if u need i can send u a link to these rubber sounds i ve made ,...

Its a saw oscilator with some slight Mod-Env on the Pitch or LFO on the Pitch (i prefer an envelope style pitch mod)

With An HPF and Maybe LFO or automate the Filter Frequency...

take disco dsp discovery, choose init patch (its called "---" in its banks), put high amplitude and medium rate of the LFO; LFO on the OSC pitch as was said above. then you should use hp12 filter. thats it.
this sound can be made in any synthersizer, that has lfo.
now piss off! hehhhee

also the albino 3 has a very elasticy sound to it, when u use the HPF and give it some saturation..           [[[G|L|I|T|C|H]]]

you can do this one really good with a virus

use 2 synced saw osc, route a lfo on the pitch of osc1 (something like 1/2 or 1/4 or so), make one filter hp, the other lp...adjust the filters and add some other stuff to your liking (like a bit of fm, phaser, chorus, distortion...)

thats it           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

You can also sample a rubberband...

Seriously! I did that once and it made a really nice bass sound. I just wrapped one end of the rubberband around my mic and stretched the other end and plugged it.
Won't sound like the sound you want but it sounds nice.

Reminds me of an audio engineer I shadowed. He needed the sound of an ice skate stopping and made it by pulling a card out of his wallet and scratching it against his desk.. a little reverb.. voila!

yey! I also make a 32th pattern line of snares, render it as audio and stretch it with warpers in Ableton... nice rubber sound there, also very plastic!
