is there any way to find our the RPM of a hard disk i have?

u can usualy see it on the cover sticker...but i dont know if its true about all the drives

there re also disc diagnostic programms around..           ***dread controls***

cuz there is no RPM sticker on it

dont hold me to this but i think most hard drives (discluding scsii) are 10,000 rpm           -=Keep it Spiritual=-

This is suppose to be the best program for testing your HD, not sure if it checks RPM though.

for WD hard drives its easy to determine..
AB at the end of disc number means 5400 RPM
BB - 7200 RPM

check on the hardware properties the exact model
of your drive and search for it on the manufacturer
website .
