Managed to find some threads about this topic, but none of them were 'To the point' - Please do correct me if I'm wrong...

Was just wondering if anyone here uses the MC-909 in their home/pro setup, And if so - some feedback would be great
I happen to work with one and I find it very handy in 'on the fly' sequencing. It has a pretty neat sampling system built-in (I was actually surprised by the A/D conversion quality.. )
It has a built in 64 Voice Synth which isn't that bad, But still ... I'm addicted to the Lead3 - but that story for another rainy day ...
Now this is what's really amazing about this little monster - It's 16 Part Squencer. Every two parts share a physical fader (assignable parts 1-8 / 9-16). Sequencing is available as 'Real Time', 'Step', 'TR-Rec' (Which is basically 'block style'). The Sequencer editor is shown in 'Block Style' for each part, and is scaleable according to your sequence length .
The 909 has two bulit in Multi FX , a Compressor, EQ, and a reverb unit.
Usefull option is the USB port which allows your groovebox to share files (samples, sequences, etc. ) with your computer.
And how can I finish without mentioning the Twin D-Beam Controller - Look, No Hands!
As far as ease of use , and 'User Friendly' - Hey , Once you know one - you know em all - A few variations & changes, but once you've played with it long enough you wont be able to stop (Yeah .. this is a Warning ).
All in all I'm pretty happy with it. In my setup I use it as my main sequencer. A NordLead3 Synth is hooked up to it (They work great together btw...) via MIDI, and they are both hooked up to a G4 running SX2 via an M-Audio FireWire 410.
Some tracks I dump onto the computer for sequencing in SX, some I leave on the groovebox - Eventually it comes down to how you are use to working.
Wow .. this kinda turned into sort-of a review.
I hope this helps anyone concidering getting their hands on one of these monsters

Again - Would love to read any positive/negative fedback you may have regarding this piece of equipment.

Peace.           -==-=-===-=-=--=--=-=-=-=-==--=--=-=-=-

If you love it - I say the hell with the negative opinions...           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Hey, in order to progress and make things better we usually need to look at the downfaults of that thing
Negative opinions can only help by actually looking into them and coming up with a way of - Yep - Making it better
