In the last few years a spate of emerging talent has been championing the current trend of classic-but-current trance music in Argentina. The duo Rodrigo Deem & Gateway are a prime example.
Rodrigo Deem & Gateway begins this next EP with “Rocket Crash.” The track starts by painting a bleakly futuristic landscape of squawking robotic and minimalistic drums; but after the first minute percussions and an enigmatic, low, distorted bass generates a progressive groove. The main melody not only takes the place as the biggest performer in this piece but also drives us to raise our hands between the glory of the breakdown and the majesty of the drop which is the contrasts of the first groove with a much richer flavor.
“Dirty Fancy” gets a bit more complex with basses and synths that go hand in hand all the way to the end in sophisticated patterns. The base of the track is a group of synths that dance around Latin percussion elements during the first couple of minutes, and gets even louder after the first breakdown with a complete collection of syncopated drums and hits. These young producers have reached a new level of production, placing Latin American producers in the spot of the most important figures in dance music scene.
The whole package is impossible not to love for its boisterous charm, a surefire party starter, as a Latin American based label we are very proud to present Dub Tech’s upcoming bombshell release.
