Dark Soho has lots of guitars :).
First you need to record yourself playing... Then you mix it with your track in Cubase or Cakewalk or whatever sequencer you use. |

i did it , i just ran it through my guitar fx to the soundcard, recorded what i wanted , edited some more , all the rest depends on your work habits . make your samples and blend it in . all the rest is not different from usual composing . one of the latest Cakewalk's (don't remember which ) has a great compatibility with guitars . a lot of useful features . you can make a lot of crazy sound just with your guitar and some editing . Cubase can digest it all, although i'm not used to work with it i think it can do the job in this case . |

Yo Gil,
What u wanna do is a kind of fusion here.. So my advise is going to b - Choose your tracker/sequencer ( sequencer better cuz then u record live ( at least on cubase ) easy. First thing try to make a basic groove for your track. When the groove holds, put it on a long loop and play, whilst your mike is on the amp of the guitar and connects straight to the card ( in case u have a mixer.. better do it straight to the card ). After the recording was done u can clean it up, add fx necessary etc.
I would really advise for Cubase 5.0 - it's a brilliant piece of software ( a little heavy ) but that's the best 'real time' sequencer I have worked with - I haven't really worked with 'Logic' which is also very good and some say it's better.
Good luck! |

Gil, I completely agree with Yuli here - his is the only and best way to work with Guitars (or any other 'live' instruments) - make a sample, clean it up, drop it to a sequencer. one more advise - sorry if it sounds a bit patronising - practice your computer skills. make track after track and the more u practice, the better it will sound.
