You can start to make some weird voices from your mouse until you'll know u sounds like a robot..... :)

and now seriously - Vocoders are machines that change the voice that get into them and send it out as a robot voice and more voices...

you can get vocoder on software and on hardware

in pulsar there is a plugin that im connecting it to the line in and it change the voices to robot voice (Vocoder)

also at micro q - (HW synth) there are some vocoders presets that do the job

a ring modulator will also 'robotize' a voice nicely!

slap on a talking phaser and flange it a little, add a chopper with the appropriate BPM and there you go.

of course, you can allways take a helioum balloon, inhale it, than switch on the ventilator and speak directly to it. ;-)

try cooledit, it has a special robotized flanger, & some other cool stuff.
but in fact almost any respectful flanger can make it work.
try adding echo with realy short latency!
hop u get it!
