Hi!
I would like to know how to get to the result of a voacl like in:
X-Dream - The 1st 02:17
Sub6 - 7th Son (Freq Remix) 00:17
And i could swear i had another example but i can't remember it now.
Anyway more in the style of X-Dream's... Its not so robot but i couldnt describe it better... Id love some help.

Just use any Vocoder. All decent vocoders have preset robotic vox patches, like the one used in the 1st. For sure, orange vocoder vst, has this kind of patch, i've used it countless times.

I don't like much of using robot voices, I prefer the pitched voices like Infected Mushroom (probably they use their Eventide multi-effect processor for this - very famous for its superb pitch-shifting algorithm).
As other_reality said, Orange vocoder has a robot voice preset and you may come up with new ones. Hardware synths such as Virus B/C, MS2000 and JP8080 have it as well.

I can tall you how X-Dream make his vocal's
he was in israel 2 weak's ago and he came to my studio so we talked about his vocal work and more
However,download Voice Machine-generator by steinberg.
you can work with this plug in midi like morphoder(waves 5)
that by the way very good vocoder(the best vocoder I ever used)
anyway,the first preset is the fx that you looking for
*to finishe the work record your vocal 2 time's and run tham in the same time - this will give you chorus fx

I didn´t get it clear, they used voice machine generator or waves morphoder, could u explain it a bit so i could get i better idea? |
