Id like to know wich is the standard or recomended RMS value in the Mastering stage., i read some article son mastering and the mostly mention -10 is ok. But i m not sure if this could be apply to eelctronic/dance music.

Im doing my own perhaps unprofessional mastering and this is a question that made me think a lot.

most full on psy tracks are like -8 or -9 rms. I've seen some around 10 and otheres around 11 depends how hard u want it to be. but i'd say between 8 and 11.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

-10 RMS averege imo
(+ - 1 depend on the mix)

alot fullon is just too compressed and have only first 'wow' effect but later in the track all sounds are small-ish

rms stands for root mean square technically. but he is right to my understanding it is the average loudness of your track.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

RMS = root mean square. It basically describes the amplitude level over a certain amount of time (i.e. an entire track). A mastered track should peak at 0 or -0.1dB, but the average amplitude of the entire track is usually -10db. The same applies to amplifiers, where one may be able to peak at 200 watts but only uses 100 watts continuously.

For most tracks I think -10db RMS will be alright..tightens up the mix without losing too much dynamic range. Definitely depends on the mix though..I've mastered tracks at anywhere between -15 and -8, but I guess not all were trance.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Your DAW should have one. Insert it on your master bus.

If not this one is free

considerating files I like and checked like some f.e. tunes of xenomorph from the new album have some avarage of more or less -12,5 rms db and the infos from this board and own experiments I like -10 rms db avarage as the loudest maximum if even not too loud for my ears           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

Well I hope you are using good monitors that don't compress too easily if you are going to aim for -10dB RMS.
