When you buy the multi-face, you have to buy the Hammerfall PCI card or PCMCIA card, too right?

the pci for pc, the pcmcia for mobile/laptop use.
u can use the same multi-face for both.
u ve to get both, but at least the price for the pci card is pritty ok.
i ve got an hammerfall 9632 n it s works very good...but better get an muliface if u can afford it.

Well, it's a complicated issue. The Motu 828 has the same (more or less) features as the multiface and the same ADDA, but from what I've been told the quality of the sound is slightly worse. Of course, it'll probably end up at least $300 cheaper for only a small difference, but in the long run that small difference isn't so small.
And both of these cards are leagues ahead of m-audio and creamware products.

Hi! as you see Multiface is one of the most complet cause has severals analogic inputs, good for external machine, so it depends of te use you want togive to soundcard.
If you only work with vsti you have other options like the firewire as Trip said.
