rme or motu?

hi, its time to buy a pro soundcard and i 'm wondering which one?!: motu mk2 or rme fireface800?i dont want consoles to destroy my signal anymore....

On the mac i would suggest motu. Best drivers. Had two RME PCMCIA/Multifaces long time ago and the driver situation and support from rme was just bad ("we dont focus on mac cause the market is too small"). Maybe that situation improved but after the troubles i had and the statement i got im not interested in this brand anymore.
Also all the goodies for the RMEs (analyzer,..) are not available for mac.
For PC the RME may be the better way to go. Motu focuses traditionally more on the mac market.
We use now just motus for our studios and im completely happy with this decision. |

Everybody needs a mac,so pare tin traveller.
Also 828 plays wonderfull on pc systems.
Amazing quality,ideal for rec,a good pair of monitors some hard synths to get the sound and BooM! |

Both MOTU and RME have good reputations. MOTU is best known to work well with Macs. RME is best known to work well with PCs.
