Hi..
I have the pad.. no prob with the latency, have it on 5.8ms (44kHz) 2.7ms (96kHz) on a pIII 1.7GHz 400MHz FSB on a Asusboard with 768MB ram...
But sometimes I have dropouts in cubase... but doesnt help if I higher the latency.. maybe a problem with the pc anyway...

The soundcard is ok for me.           Most of my music for you to download at:

Hey iggy, Are you also running windows 2000?

Because I'm getting tired of the drop outs and consider changing to XP...

Cubas SX 1.02 is what I use...           Most of my music for you to download at:

i use the PAD and its great one if you ask me, no problems with latency...

and the digi9636 aint got any in/outs analogue, so i donno what you will do with it without a converter box

so i dont think its realy the latency is the question here, you need first to decide if you wanna mix in the pc an outer equipment, or you going to be using mostly plugins...

thats the question....

i guess u goin to mostly work with plugins first, right? so there is deffenetly no neeed to bother about those differences, and with the PAD you be fixed, if you want to e moving more chanells of audi in and out, go for the RME multyface, cause it will give u 8 ins and 8 outs in one box.

the digi9636 is for bigger studios like sonkite, that need more audio channels for using outer processors and so on..

or also if you got an digital cosole with adat, but then you can use for this also the PAD which have adat in/out !

my setup is sx1.02/winxp/amd2100+/1 gigaram2700/gigabyte7dxr+

its runs good but takes much maintenance to be steady this whole plugin setups scenario..
