Rme 9632 input problem in cubase sx.....

i have a litlle problem...when i insert one mic
on the board input..i cannot control in cubase ,like mute or when i aplly an effect i can t hear the effect ..i can hear the sound but i cannot control it in cubase : /
anyone have a similar prob????

it might be one of a few settings.....can you see your mic input signal in the cubase mixer or do you only hear the audio??? |

Good I see this post, I was about to post something similar...
I have the same problem with recording my synth..when I add an audio track to monitor, I put it in monitor to hear the signal and I see the signal in the "audio in" fader in cubase but not in the audio track monitoring...I put effects and nothing happens...then I restart cubase open the same project just as it was and voila, sinth plays in the audio channels and everything works...until i want to record a diferent sound to a diferent audio track and have to do same thing allover...close and open cubase...!!This is really anoying, anyone knows the solution to it or has the same problem?

Statik , chek the device setup panel .there is a direct monitoring option ,if there is v sign in the small window(its on) so it might be the problem(remove v sign from the window and it should work) if there is no v sign(its off) in the window,so it might be a vst connections and choosing right bus in ins and outs ,

i disable the direct monitoring...and guess what??
..now i can control the audio in...

Btw , chek the RME's DIGICheck 4.42 ,its very not bad tool for analyzing audio material and matching. |

RME rocks!!! You would also sometimes find a jinx when you activate or deactivate the monitor button in cubase........then just check your input channels on the RME mixer!Another jinx is you will sometimes find different level of audio coming out your speakers..............then just check out the matrix panel of the RME soundcard! |
