if you have a fast CDROM ripping is done much faster than this ... why do you want to rip so slowly ?

BOM

BTW: "ripping" is the process of copying data from CD to harddisk, lame encoder (program to encode wavs to mp3s) is the best and is freeware.

Exact Audio Copy + Lame

Enjoy :-)

And why 320kbps? use 196kbps, the filter goes at 18-19khz. That's good quality.

mike ... in lame you can disable filter at all,
which makes it the best encoder.

I use Music Match JukeBox
Anyone knows anything better?
Which codec can be considered less lossy and in which rate i can encode without worrying for the sound quality later. Is it 192K? Or do you recommend something better?

Ninja, read my post about EAC and Lame. The best combination that I know of.
