Hey,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but just can't seem to find it. Anyone have any tips on recording audio from internal sources - youtube video, streaming radio etc.. ? Soundforge/Wavelab have a record function, but they don't seem to work for me. I remember having done this before where I needed to make some audio routing changes in the Windows Sound Mixer.

I've tried this on 2 soundcards (internatl and external) with no luck, unfortunately neither of them had extensive mixer software of their own.

Help ?

I know i used to sample with the internal soundcard in wavelab, there is a option that says "record what is heard" or something.

Otherwise there is a application called soundtap that records straight from the driver, you just need to launch it before opening like VLC if your sampling from a Avi file for instance           Demand recognition for the Armenian genocide 1915

if your on mac you could use audio hijack            Nocturnal Wizardz Recs
Bhooteshwara Records
Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

Okej, why make it difficult, Get freecorder

http://www.freecorder.com/freecorder3/index.php?src=www.google.se

very nice and works well, you can record to mp3 or wav!

at least this work when you stream things from internet, if you want to record from a moive you play in your dvd drive you have to try another option.

i make a feedbackloop on the mixer and record, i route FX send to my mono input on soundcard, right now this is how i record my Anx1 aswell...

Did'nt want to make things so complicated, and yeah I've seen the youtube rippers, but that would limit me only to youtube.

Anyway - I found what I was looking for, TotalRecorder, runs as a driver and even comes with audio restoration+ speech enhancing addons.

Thanks guys
