Rip Van Hippy is out with his third album, again without deceiving. You could not have expected better from this masterpeice.
Rip Van Hippy has its own unique style. I don't think anybody makes such music. Jazz combined with electronic and of course psychedelic. Certainly a futuristic music and yet he has been making such music since the 80's. Seems this music will always be an avanguard one.

The album start with a very atmospheric jazzy sounds and it evolves little by little with each track. No track ressembles to its precendent. Nothing repeats itself. The music is constantly evolving, progressing.
Timeless music. At times makes u feel u're back in the 70's with it's atmospheric psychedelic sounds, at times u'll feel u're in some trippy movie, at times it's groovy, at times almost beatless. And of course a lot of psychedelic jazztronic. You get all sounds you can think of there.
Each track has a story, you can feel it's driving you somewhere.
This style is so unique, so profound.

It's hard for me to describe and review this c.d, since I feel the words are not good enough to explain the feeling you get while listening to it.
If you're into mainstream music, don't listen to this one. But if you want something that is different, unusual and very very mind explanding - this is defenitely the one!.

Cover is funny, a psychedelic rat on a yellow background.

Excellent masterpiece. Thank you again Devic Craft Cordings for not falling into the commercial side of music and releasing such quality stuff.
And of course thank you Rip Van Hippy for producing such music. May we be blessed with more.

Awesome, awesome, awesome album. Full of funk, a lot of creativity and oozing with psychedelic fun. Just wonderful all the way through, from the dirty funky breakbeat You Can't Drum through amazing psychedelic dancefloor gems like Black Lodge and up to the beautifully psychotic beatless My Generation.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
