Having already thrilled dancefloors with a pair of can't miss compilations, Rip n' Burn Recordings hits back with the newest creation certain to create a fiery atmosphere for the club. From the mind of label boss DJ Yaniv comes the latest in original compilation series, Solid. With the first strike, Solid '01 sets the tone with a collection of hot vocal tracks for all situations, drawing both from established veterans as well as giving introductions to some new faces on the scene. The combination of tracks proven on worldwide dancefloors and a trio of brand-new previously unreleased exclusives make this CD yet another shot from the vaults of Rip n' Burn that any DJ or listener would be foolish to miss.

Firing up the CD in appropriate manner is the sultry "Torch" from Margot Meets the Melody Maker. Fueled by a stealthy low-end groove and a throwback '80s dark atmosphere, this hit from Great Stuff Recordings has proven its worth as a prime mover for luminaries such as Timo Maas and John Digweed. Shifting towards a hint of sleaze for the sweaty underground, Caitlin Devlin's sharp vocals slither over Stefan Bodzin & Thomas Schumacher's grimy musical accompaniment for "Pleasure Seeker", their collaborative project under their popular moniker Elektrochemie. German trendsetters The Wighnomy Brothers follow with their distinct taste of atmospheric minimalism through their cut-up interpretation of Slam's soul-flavored "This World". Lindstrom's universal dancefloor monster "I Feel Space" gets the remix treatment from Freeform Five to find a new life as an angelic electro-tinged peak time piece. A bit of heavy industrial flare is in store for Sweet Light's remix of the mammoth "Where's the Fun", the relentless work from Output Record's DK7, better known as Jesper Dahlbδck and Mark O'sullivan. Continuing the stepped-up energetic mood is Marc et Claude's smash remix to Chab's colossal "Coser to Me", the most remarkable treatment yet for a track familiar to dancefloors worldwide. Newcomer Shatzky provides a taste of an audacious musical future with her gritty and furious vocal bomb "You Can Kiss", as thick with attitude as it is with rhythmic grime. MMDC's electroclash piece "Love Your Sister" and the rock-heavy "Undercover Lover" by Rotterwolfe add a pinch of punk attitude to the album while the indescribable "Disslight" by newcomer artist Audiolizer is sure to stand out as one of the most unique tracks of the year with its smooth combination of a grinding drive underlying a dramatic orchestral arrangement and sizzling indie vocals. Closing the CD is Hadshot exclusive artist Jey Fever giving a modern rendering of classic electro sounds in "Amadora".

With the addition of a DJ-friendly 2x12" LP featuring 8 hot tunes from the CD, Rip n' Burn gives all DJs all the tools to keep the dancefloor aflame with intensity.
