It seems they finally succumbed to the economy.
It was no surprise when they stopped buying new vinyl, although I had enjoyed being able to buy vinyl online and have it arrive at my door the next day with no shipping cost.
But it's a big blow to lose such a good deal on digital downloads  Seriously, buying an album on .wav from DR cost sometimes 1/3 what it cost to buy it from beatport--they didn't have beatport's ludicrous $1 wav surcharge and they gave discounts for buying full releases.
I guess they just didn't market themselves enough. |

another one bites the dust...
well a lot of labels make one two compils and disappear....they are like comets they come they shine and then vanish in the universe

Labels are one thing, stores are another. This happens at the same time that two of my favorite record shops in Berkeley go out of business :'( |

Well it could be possible that after paying rent on their warehouse space, utilities, payroll and upkeep of their website, they didn't have enough money left over to pay the labels, which would explain why they went out of business!
