Vana: Im in GMS land (Ibiza), playing here and there...I don't know how Im gonna live with myself for missing this party on Saturday, it is at the old drome! I heard it looks very different now though... Have a blistering good stomp for me, I know you'll rock!

@wiking he is working on an album as we speak (well.. given that its 8:10am here i very much doubt he is literally working on it as we speak.. but you get the idea  )
hopefully release before the end of the year on alchemy afaik.. perhaps rinky himself can tell us more...

I've just had the chance to exchange a few words with Vana, the name behind Rinkadink, one of the hottest and most original projects in the Trance area so far.

01. First of all, who is Vana? Please introduce yourself.
Hallo! I'm vana, I'm 24 and I like rabbits and sharks, ice cream, japanese food and video games and smoking skunk.
02. When, where and how did this project come up?
I used to work in computer games, but my mate Shane started to get gigs and travel all over the place, and I thought to myself: Damn! he's having more fun than me!!! So I made plans to get out of the rat race, move back to Cape Town (I was in london at the time) and learn to make some tunes.
03. Why "Rinkadink"?
Theres a company in canada that make those tractor things that shave the ice in an ice rink called rinkadink. More than that i cannot say..
04. What are your tools of trade for sound production?
Whiskey! And a comfy chair with attached computer... and nice speakers and
HUGE monitors and having a place where you can make a noize without the damn tennants under you banging on the ceiling with a broomstick.
05. Do you think Rabbit From Darkside is getting the recognition it deserves?
Hell yeah!!, its been a party since it was released!, my salary-job be damned!! mwahahaha!!!!!
06. What's your musical background/history?
I wanted to be a dj, but I couldnt mix and i was a geeky teenager with spots so I couldn't get into any clubs - so I stayed at home messing with my computer.
