hey...
i havnt bein around here 4 a whyle so...hi everbody bla bla....
iv'e bein thinking about this crazy frog sound and how the guys who made it realy make it...now i know they recorded a 2 cylinder motorcycle, but that frog dosnt sound like a motorcycle alone...i was thinking maybe they used this pluggin vocoder
where the carrier is actualy another persons voice and not only a synth tone...or does anybody here have any idea how they made it? |

man,i guess thats the way,i ve done it before once.
Its a pleasure to work with natural products,sounds hmmmm more natural!
just have in mind to cover all ur equipment cause frogs can blow very easy

that's a funny topic...
from what i know about this Frog, one guy have a motorcycle and it's start to do problems (the bike), then he want's to tell hi's friend how's the bike sound's like...
he recorded himself and send the vocal to hi's friend and that's the vocal that you hear in the frog movie's....
it's not the bike sound, it's the guy voice..

i think the guy sold the sound for something not so expensive, he sold the rights to it...

basically i this guy didnt even make the sound himself.i found this voice as a sample some years ago(long before these silly songs with this voice were made) and it was supposed to be a funny audio clip.it's a boy making the sound of a motorcycle.this guy just happened to be inspired by this silly sound and thought he could create music with it.anyway.i dont like it at all  |

Yeah - it did in fact get stolen from a Swedish guy (or bought for a cheap price) and then used by a couple of germans to make the super killah crazy frog full-on!

Here's the story:
A 17 year-old boy, Daniel Malmedahl, from gothemburg, sweden did an impression of a moped and recorded this for fun.
The soundfile circulated on the net for a while and finally reached Erik Wernquist, who thought it was a funny sound and decided to do an animation for it. So he did. He called it, quite appropriately, the annoying thing.
The german mobilecompany ZED got their eyes on it and started negociating to buy the thing.
These guys made millions on the deal. It's just one of those freak things that happens now and then. |
