It was by far the best Twin Cities event I have ever been too.
Nate and Felix did really amazing job organizing and handling this party. The venue was exceptionally good and all those beautiful decorations created and brought by Pyite added a lot to the atmoshpere of the main stage.
I am always happy to see and spin on top notch djing gear. The sound was really powerfull and crisp at the same time. Even the room with two stages was setup the way it wasn't an issue for any dancers to enjoy both. Amazing.
The crowd was great, energetic and good looking ;-). You could feel all the love and happiness all night long, not only because of the holiday but it should be also attributed to the great music played at the most stages, judging from a little bit what I was able to catch besides the psytrance stage. Even security and the whole party crew was really nice and easy going the whole time.
Totally cool concept of introducing psytrance to minnesota rave scene. It was nice to see the both scenes mingling, merging together. Seems like Nate and Felix really know their crowd and know how to deliver bringing a lot of awarness to those young people at the same time. Big props!
Thank you also goes to all MOP troopers: Nick, Chris, Abe, Dakota and Mike (any many more) who enlighted and enhenced the party with their presence.
It was real pleasure to get to know and hang out with Jeff and Kelly who really showed off their djing skills while working out the crowd to the maximum. Thank you to Mist for dropping my favorite track I'd have requested, you know, you really tore it up man (thx a bunch for a cd ). I was really happy to be part of it and spin for probably the bigest and most energetic dancefloor I have ever had. I fell sorry I couldn't stay after the party and help with the teardown and hang out at afties due to the certain cirumstances. I promise to make up for it in the nearest future.
Once again, big THANK YOU goes to Nate, Felix and everyone involved in this succefull event.

This party was awesome... Thanks to Nate and Felix for bringing me out to rock the midwest. I had a lot of fun dropping basslines on that huge soundsystem... Really nice crowd, about 800 or so from the looks of it. Crowd was REALLY into the music all night...

Sounds like a kick ass time! What type of venue was this held in?

It was a warehose venue. You entered in through the 2nd area/third area which was a really interesting setup. There were two soundsytems in the center of the room facing out into the room. It worked suprisingly well, and the only bleed was on the side of the systems... The main area was down a few stairs and was an open warehouse room with tall ceilings. There was a pretty big stage everything was setup on and some massive sound. Video projectors with visuals on both sides of the stage. PYITE brought some tapestries out that were hung around the area. Laser in front of the djs at crowd level centered with stage. Vendors booths in the back of the main room with visual screen playing The Holy Mountain . Also, there was a back room you entered in through the 2nd and 3rd area. They were playing some really crazy chiptune and breakcore in there. Interesting stuff I had never heard before.
The psytrance sets I saw were all very good. When we arrived hardkornate was playing a mix of stuff and mixing it all together very well. Some bouncier full on, some a little darker, some cheesier with a bit of vocals, but all mashed up together quite well. The crowd was already dancing hard and it was only 10:00pm, a very good sign. After Nate, MAchi took the stage and played a really slamming set of driving progressive with hints of full on. Really great tracks all the way through and not one missed mix. Really a flawless set for the style. Anyone around looking for a perfect morning set should book this guy for sure! The crowd was screaming for Machi, really getting wild. PYITE then took the stage and started off with some pretty hypnotic stuff that was definitely a change of pace. The crowd really didn't skip a beat, just ate it up and danced harder. About midway through his set he transitioned into some more dancier dark stuff, by the time I went on he had the crowd really rocking. I played next and really had way too much fun with that soundsystem and crowd. Definitely the most zoned in and intense set I've played... Got it up to 160 and played some of the nastiest evil hymns to Cthulu that I could. They just kept dancing harder. Lovely crowd this one! After me, Mist was up. He certainly threw it down harder than any other time I have seen him as well. I really like the new productions he is working on. Hopefully we see some of those released soon. The crowd was still stomping hard when we caught the cab to the airport at 4:45, by this time it was 9 degrees outside.

that was loads of fun-- only problem was my back is all screwed up right now so I couldn't *really* flail about like a lunatic while I played haha
Big thanks to Nate and Felix for putting this shindig together.
Nice to meet everybody-- Jeff, Scott, Anand, Nick, Machi, Adrienne (sp?), and anyone else I forgot...
