looks like its not open.. its just a marketing trick to earn the money on some fancy names.. cause of this remix culture suffers.. if ur into remixes check out FOEM, theres remixes open for everyone and its not only about names, winning, competition, releasing and deadlines, but sharing different views and ideas on one track, learning something new..
Stuff like this just turns me off remixes..
And Im sick of those wannabe labels..

I think you are right x-rayz. It really annoys me though. It's just dirty and certainly not "pure".
All they have done now is associate the labels name with trickery and dishonesty. Guess who won't be buying any music on their label now.
How short sighted of them. |

maybe they are busy.
personally when we did our remix contest we put the files to download for everyone. you get a ton of very average remixes but hey it's part of the game also.
i mean if it's remix contest, it's a remix contest and everyone should have the chance to be part of it. not just a selected group of artists.

They are not busy. I tried my girlfriends e-mail addy and they replied very quickly. No link, just canvassing for info.

a few guys who wanted to make impression here or yeah marketing trick hehe or a few beginners with an intelligent idea lol.I havent emailed but that action here was strange right from the beginning was suspiscious . |

I would rather call it primitive than intelligent..
Theres another thing I dont like with these remix contests is disinformation.. Theyre all saying make whatever u want, style doesnt matter and such lies but what is true that they will only took into account style which that label is normally releasing.. Theres nothing wrong with it but theres no need for disinformation than.. Whats worse is remix contests which pick only most commercial, cheesiest crap u can hear just to sell as much as they can.. Well what can u do, its business..

hey guys,
sorry, we are getting alot of emails and we are reading all of them and we will get back to you. yes, we are screening the emails and asking that everyone send us a link to their production. Rick is a veteran in the scene and is an extremely talented producer, we do not want to disrespect him by offering the sample pack up to everyone and then end up hearing these sounds all over the place. we are a well established label with a wide range of styles and artists, if we were just looking for big names we would contact them ourselves. we are hoping to find some new talent through this remix competition and it is already looking like we will. thanks for your interest and your patience and good luck

Neither do I.. If theres remix competition involved of course theres gonna be sounds all over the place and u cant stop that, but isnt remixing about that? Boosting tracks which otherwise wouldnt get so much attention.. Replying here and still not answering to mails, thats disrespecting..
I would really like and I hope Im wrong about this and that this is just a technical problem but it all points into other direction..

Hey, its all good, Ive got the mail, apologies accepted, u please accept mine.. Will listen to the samples and the original track and if its good maybe Ill work on it..
Good luck with the contest to you and to all competitors..
And btw, its X-Rayz.. I have nothing to do with electromagnetic radiation, its too short wavelength for my taste, I prefer audible spectrum, although I like it subtle
