okay forum,

sorry about the prolonged absence. i've been working on this song, and i think i finally got it sounding solid. would you mind reviewing it? http://organicparadox.com/01blink_tracks/organicparadox-grimmel.mp3

its a little big (192kb), but i promise it will be worth it. for all moderators out there (kaz/foka, you especially) and all people who have reviewed my track before, i truly valued your opinions and worked hard to make changes in track based on your feedback. i love the feeling of community on this site. peace to you all.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

You tend to EQ out more high frequencies than necessary from you sounds, and you overcrowd the midrange - maybe that's what he meant by imperfect mastering. The bassline has a lot of drive, but maube a little chorus (as a fatter detune) before the EQ and compressor would give it more pressence. The strings should have a more gothic (a la Tim Schuldt) sound to them.

More short breaks would do wonders here - add a lot of power and drama to this track (again, Tim Schuldt is the master of this). The lead in the end enters in this way - but you don't give it enough change in the enviroment in order to keep the listener on his toes. Agressive and pounding full-on, which isn't my cup of tea, but with some better technical work and more professional passages this track could become release quality.

I loved the contrast between the melodies/harmonies to the actual feeling of the track, very well done. I'm impressed.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

After Kaz post i just have to say this:
arrange those midle sounds like the melodies synths and so on to a lower volume cos sometimes this sounds overload other sounds and just do some more arragements at your percussions cos with so many nice melodies arround that make you fly you need percussions to do the same and in my opinion they're still a bit static try to use delays and reverbs over snares and claps and as the song goes on try to change also this rithm parts to an harder or softer mod(depends on how the track goes).
You have nice sounds this isn't my style at all but i like a track when it is good no matter what style. Keep it on and you'll have nice results and as you have told before you're just so near to get your own sound, don't quit on this budy.

This isnt actually my style but your track is good.
I think you over do it with the panning sometimes (the acid kind melody at the last part)and try to keep the levels balanced (some sounds come over others)

I really like the cut around the 6th minute

Keep on

i can't hank you guys enough! very well-thought out criticisms that i take very seriously. i think my heart is gone for this track (too much learning took place during its creation). i think its beyond repair. but i start on my new project, and have all of your comments down as notes on my desk. again, let me thank you for the time you spent in downloading the track, and replying to a punk like me......

whoever says the community is dead hasn't visited isratrance!
