yes setfan it will. not while you are composing but on the mixdown. reason's engine has a different dithering process for the sound than cubase, which i think sounds worse. i know quite a few reason users who are happy to make their songs in reason, but rewire out for their mastering and mixdowns.
hope that helps. i'm sure there is a forum discussing this in length on here somewhere

i won't get into an intellectual debate with you tente, but yes i do.
if i didn't and still wanted to diffuse this conversation, i would just do a google search and quote something from an audio tutorial website, and make it seem i lived and breathed those words all the time. like most other people do on here.
anything else you'd like to know? bra size perhaps?

you dont get me organic....
i am not against you or something , but this section being shitted by anyone who THINKS he know something, so way that you said about dithering , and if you goto tutorial belive me i will see that you dont know what is it because tutorial from the web are not enough.
like here ppl started to explaing on topic "How to make good sound in Cubase" , ppl dont know what is the difference between limiter and compressor or what is attack or release.
it makes me crazy when ppl says things like you said before , about dithering.I will bet(and i am quit sure) that you dont know a shit about the difference in dithering in those two programs. |

i for one absolutely hate the mixer inside reason.,
it has some kind of weird multiband limiter/compressor stuff in it ..
its realy hard to make an open-sounding and stable mix in it.
sounds start to push each other out realy quickly.
It's good for making a drum track so all the sounds sound like one but if you start ripping frequencys it all goes horribly wrong.,.,
anyway, i'll always prefer mixing out on an analog desk the ultimate mixing toy ..
te_nte, you are right., ., dithering doesnt do shit on the scale of reason. you propably wont hear the difference. the mixer has a much much bigger impact.
organicparadox, how is the least significant bit going to make your sequencer sound different? dithering is @ -86 dB or thereabout.,
