i man..
i think that the idea is nice...
but maybe you put also bass-line on it and it will make it more groove 
also another "line" before the end will make it nicer(but this is only my opinion friend and it is a matter of taste include the bass-line  )...
about the sound--sound good to me-clean,but as well that it is mp3 so maybe this is the reason that the sound is "close" a little...

seems like a good potential here. I didn't grow fond of the melodies though... it's ur call.
The problems with the low end: it seems before the kick kicks in, there's some low freq kick sound - which is kind of thin and distrted sounding - I would say - phatten it with an eq.
keep doing the workz.
