Hi all..

Just a quick question.
Whats the easiest way to make a reversed delay?
So that the sound will fade IN and not OUT?

if u mean that silly thing duvdev does with his vocals, you can do it with a reverb that will let you reverse the early reflections as well.

example... I want a female voice to say "Oh baby", But I dont want the sample to get reversed, just to fade in, with the same settings as the delay fadeout..           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

ya, like duvdev

another thing to try -

in a wave editor-
- take the dry signal, copy it into a new file. put a reverb on it on a setting that ill give it strong character, make it 100% wet.
- reverse the reverbed signal.
- mix it with the dry file.

faxinadu, thats actually "wrong".
Lets say that if you have someone sayng "1 2 3". You aply 100% wet reverb and reverse that. Then the first reverb fade in will be the reverb from the 3 fading into the 1.
Could be used as an fx but problems will accour if the space between the words/sounds are different; wich they most likly are. That will make a reverb revers into nothing at some places and other words will not have a reverse fx at all.

You should:

1: Reverse the original sound.
2: Aply reverb.
3: Reverse the audiofile again, wich now has a reverb on it.

yes!
indeed AvS is correct i am sorry i was not thinking straight, use his method and you will get what you were describing.

maybe more confusion caused by what i wrote -when u do it the way AvS described, you dont use 100% wet of course, but tweak dry/wet to your liking.

i guess you could do it how i described also, but just instead of mixing the wet reversed file with regular dry file, reverse the dry file before you mix them and then after mix reverse back.

but much faster the other way.
