Hi everyone. I think this is my first post here but I've been reading the forums for a while now.

I'm wondering if someone here can give me some guidelines for reverb settings that are typically used in trance for those 'spacey' background sound FX. Listen to any typical psy track to hear the sounds I'm on about. I'd just like to get them sounding right in the mix without getting all muddy.

Cheers!

i think this is too general of a question because there alot of fx in the type youre describing and i suggest eq'ing each by itself for best results.

but for sure - you would need to lowcut both the reverb and on the eq (so the decay doesnt mudd up the mix) i would try the reverb rather on insert then on send and play with the dry/wet levels until you get a nice balance. as for the settings.... again depends on the sounds... perhaps some delays can help too there to make it spacey.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."
