Honestly, I'll be lucky if I can get to the end of a tune before I get bored and change my kick/bass combo.
It's almost like I can feel my ears changing all the time. Just a rehash of what Elad said really.
It's all a big part of making your next tune better than the last one. |

Same kick: sometimes.
Same bass: never.

always different kick but latly almost always the same bass..i just dont get it done better and would even like to have a set that is kinda compatible..
even if one thinks the bass is boring after the 3rd track or something....i like it and thats enough for me for now...need to concentrate on other things actualy..

I'm just happy if I can get a decent sounding kick and bass sound.
If I can use 'm on new tracks why not?
Saves me lots of time and frustration because I can start with the rest of my track right away, without first having to spend several hours on a new kick and bass combo. |

If you're starting out, don't reuse sounds. Make new ones everytime and save your presets. This is all part of the creative process - for YOUR benefit.
I hate how so many people are trying to sound like other artists- this is how you fail at making music. GOOD music is a reflection of the producer/composer's self, not an imitation of what they want to be.

Normally i made everything from beginning....just because i don't like so much my kick and bass...and always try do better.....But i thing thats if we have a good Kick and Bass, why not use the samme for varios tracks??!!!!
Least work, more criativity
In 10 tracks 2 or 3 i finished because that stupid problem...dont sound good...start again....start again...and pass 1,2,3,4,5 days i was blocked again.
Conclusion....start again too...
About leads and the rest, is always new....but i thing thats ok to re-use it....
For example i like the idea in one album, made all the songs with the same lead (principal lead) and bass...Is like a trademark especial if you ear the all album for example in a live set....gives that "history"......but not only that....For example Tube....Wen we ear a Tube song's we now that is Tube...
sorry is a little difficult to talk in english... In all "hardware" bands they have always that sound guitar with the x fx....they have always thar sound to battery, to bass and chords....Soo wen you ear something you now, this is artist x this is artist y...

that's exacly why i asked this question...
i think that i can use same kick every track or at list smae kick in few tracks. bass and lead can reuse sometimes maybe but not always.i am first of all a dj so i want my music to sound diverse like a dj set. but i ask myself why some artists just change the music but not change the sounds. |

Changing the music does change the OVERALL sound.
If you are just starting out, I think it is a TERRIBLE idea to consider doing this right now. You need to open your possibilities up otherwise you are really limiting yourself. As you progress a producer stuff that you made that used to sound good, will eventually sound like crap when you start to know what you're doing (at least that's been my case). Basically I don't see the point in limiting yourself when you have limitless possibilities.
