Sorry gentlemen/ladies,
I do not want to bother you, but I would like to keep this topic a bit SERIOUS ! If you can't do that, please, I would welcome you to create another topic regarding "Pavel's bell bottom pants".
For the ones who don't know what "Return To The Source" is about, here you go:
Return to the Source was a London-based Goa Trance music collective and record label.
RTTS (as it became known) first emerged in the early 1990s alongside the musical genre of Goa Trance and it's successor Psychedelic Trance. RTTS produced a number of compilation albums of both upbeat Trance and more downtempo Ambient music, as well and organising many Trance club nights or "parties" of which a significant number were held at the Brixton Academy venue in London, UK.
The following text was written by Return to the Source founder Chris Decker and is quoted from the liner notes of the Return to the Source "Deep Trance & Ritual Beats" Double Album compilation, released in 1995:
"Where do you go when you close your eyes on the dancefloor? Return To THe Source rolls back the centuries to trace a line from the strobes and drum machines of the 20th Century to the pagan fire and lost rituals of our ancestors. Let's go back in time...

Dot Kite, it´s really easy to bring RTTS to life. But we will never bring that atmosphere - and that´s what you are missing - back. You see parties with the same elements they had, the deco and all. But they played Goa, and the people who went to their parties were the mystic crowd - something you sure won´t see again. I have all the RTTS releases. Sometimes I look at their CD covers and feel nostalgic, and I wonder what happened to groups with names such as Holy Ghost and Black Sun. Goa trance was good, magical, hypnotic, but we are not able to create that climax again. But you keep on trying. Who knows about the future?

I was in 2 R.T.T.S. party but not in London in Manchester.......Sid Shanti Mark Allen Dedrah---didnt came---system7 live etc etc .....................

I prefer looking forward instead of backwards.
Arent there any similar partyorganizers around these days in the UK ?
What about Twisted Records?
I dont think we will ever see the same people going to the events as 10-15 years ago. Something to remember is that back then it was all new and fresh, therefore it attracted people who would go just because it was new.
Now its a case of "been there, done that", they have moved on.
What I loved about RTTS was their booklets / small books you got with their releases, with info on the artists and so forth. Serious stuff

There are laws against outdoor events in UK. AFAIK most of the venues there are indoors (including Twisted recs ones).
I guess there are outdoor events but they are very small.

Twisted is doing the 10 year celebration with GNOTR, Total Eclipse, Doof playing Goa... so there you go I wish I was over ther in England for this one. If not is as easy as contacting the ususal suspects and putting some money together |
