Ummm well, I've never changed the fact that I still dance without my shoes in the the dirt and mud. Its just more fun that way to feel the earth beneath your feet!

I also go to festival and do not care what i wear and how i look cause i know that i go there to party and not to pick up girls or to look like a super hero lover hippy! hihihihi I also notice that many of the crowd today wear dreadlocks and hippy clothes but it's just looks they go dancing in the evening then they go to sleep in the morning just like a routine hihihihi Old Goa is the roots to what we should be like! We will be like that but with nowadays music cause music never goes backward it only goes forward! Just like us! We have to take the best of our roots and expand them...The only problem nowadays is that our shepherd is blind and all the sheep just follow his blindness! We need a full power shepherd to take us to the right pasteur!

Is it OK if I just keep my shoes on if I promise to be really careful about not stepping over your toes ?

I know what you mean, the people you describe is what I call the "wannabe hippies" hehehe.
My appearance is always the same, whether I go to work, party or sit at home... Same shoes, same clothes --- Same boring me At festivals its like people can go to a shop and purchase their very own certified hippie kit(TM) Ahh what the fuck, I dont care what I look like, why care about anyone else then ? It just like the ferries, elves and everything else you got running around
I wonder what it would be like to dance barefeat --- Doesnt it hurt ? Im such a sissy hehehe.
Maaaaaaaybe I will try it, if theres a party at the beach this summer hehe... Then I will go dance like Jerard, Pothead, Dragongurl and grand master Ganjagil and learn what its all about )))
Oh, does it count to dance barefeat in the living room ? ?? ? I mean, theres a carpet there, I wont hurt me poor little feets hhehhe. (theres PLENTY of dust there you know !!!)

Its really not that bad when dancing barefoot. But it does depend on what surface there is. Its insane to try dance on a gravelly dancefloor, then you are looking for trouble. Our party organizers scatter hay all over or they setup the dancefloor on a grassy patch. Then there are no worries about sore feet 
Try it, its liberating, hahahaha!!
And I know what you guys mean about those wannabes hippies. I'm the same here Krell, dress the same to parties as I do at work and home. I may just add a bindi and my slightly more funky clothes (which btw I've had for years and where anywhere else) Cheapo stuff and not designer! UGH!!
The best is to dance with socks on at home!Hehehehee, slip sliding all over the place! WHAHAHAAAA!!

It's natural to dance barefoot on beautiful grass amoung beautiful trees or beach! It's beautiful, it's free! It's natural just like Trance it's freedom from society when i went to india i used to have shoes in the begining then i found out bare foot on the nature it's weird feeling because your feet are used to shoes but when they are accustomed to the mother earth it gives you energy it makes you feel more free!

To Krell: If you wanna dance on the beach come to Brasil on new years to Universo Paralello Festival. It is on the beach and it is like paradise!!!
To all: It is f**** gr8 to dance bearfoot.... in the grass or in the sand....plus your feet don't overheat!!
