Actually, in that case it should be 7 bass notes per kick since you're working with bass in 1/32 notes instead of 1/16. (Kick occupies interval 1 with bass occupying 2-8 although this also means your kick's envelopes will have to be a lot shorter or else you're going to make your bassline probably sound like mud as the frequencies collide)
That is, assuming you are following the "formula"...
