Chemogen, aka Aviv Hallale, provides one of the fresher offerings out of South Africa this year.
Constructed as a DJ set, Residual Twilight follows the same type of progression one might find during and just before dawn on the typical dancefloor, albeit with a bit of madness thrown in during the middle, just in case you thought you could get away without paying attention.
The album showcases new work by both the South African and European branches of the label, as well as collaborative work between the two, and is the first compilation released by the label in 2010.
