Hello ppl im trying to find my way with reaktor..
ive been trying to load a sample but didnt manage to get any sound...i gave up soon after..
bfr i continue..i didnt buy it (so i cant ask NI)i got it from a friend..full version..
so...im gonna start with the basics...
-is it audio fx or instrtument 
-what is the ensemble
-my factory presets are empty.... 
that what i want to know for first....

you can not open a sample to an empty ensemble, if you want to load a wav. file, you have to open a sampler ensemble or smg like this and open it with ..
reaktor works as standalone but also as a vst plugin, so you can open in your favourite host as a vst.
also works as an audio fx unit, for example if you connect a microfone to your soundcard, open up reaktor open an fx and connect your fx to the audio in panel, if you speak to the mic, your voice can be manipulated via the fx unit:) can be very funny 
if your factory presets are empty, check your install cd and search for .ens, maybe its a corrupt installation..
