The tapestry in the back corner near the projection screen, with the Mermen and all the bubbles was so sick!

In regards to PsyOps, I am really bummed that I missed most of this set.

@Orgs, please book PsyOps to play around NY or Philly again soon! Maybe ZoT?

Hows this sound...

Arahat, PsyOps, Unwashed Tomatoes, Egbert and Lauryn, and Earworm.

Tom will be in town and everyone else is local. Maybe a house-party near the holidays?

Just a thought.

All in all, cool party. I will definitely be back!

Sounds good to me hehe Thanks for the support Alakazam!! BTW who are you in the real world?           http://www.myspace.com/800deathsticks

Walked in the most psychedlic and full blown environment since back in the Synthetic Sadhus days, during the last track of Brandons sets, which sounded amazing. The deco was truly spectacular and quite mind blowing, the likes of which NY has been sorely missing for quite some time now. Really added that neccessary dimension of an environment you could easily lose yourself in.

Other orgs, please take note if you havent already!

Jonathans set was mostly comprised of very excellent crispity crunchity acidated full powah music, resonant leads, percussive momentum (not machine gun stuff though by a long shot), and swirling vortexi of sounds that wrapped you in trance.

Vasiliy and Dai took the stage with some music that was perfect for my taste, just the right dosage and intensity of mayhem combined with real proper groove and a lil funkiness thrown in to keep you on your toes.

Next came CPU, which I must say I too had to run to the roof at the beginning of, and enjoyed the sunrise and bud with sum buddies...To me, when he started, it was crystal clear and ultra professional production of super poppy tunes, almost no longer resembling anything psychedelic.

I have heard some music like this, called "universal breaks", which to my ear incorporates global pop music through electonica. The kind of music that you say to yourself "where do I know this from" since it is something eerily familiar yet reinvented and reformed enough to be something completely different.

It has been said that true creativity is merely properly cloaking your source...So there were lots of familiar melodies from pop musics, with clubby beats, i think i heard the south park theme song reinvented... neither psychedelic nor trance, at least to my ears and brain, but alot of people seemed to enjoy it and the floor was groovin. More like pop disco to me, This set started off as CPU on Pop ROcks and Pepsi.

SOmehow, by the time I came back downstairs, the set had progressed and the music evolved into a whole nother animal, the crowd was digging along to some real dancefloor oriented proper psytrance. Sammy was able to easily and effortlessly demonstrate an evolution of psytrance and full spectrum ability to produce all manner, shape and size of psychedlic music. The latter portion really blew my mind to bits, especially in relation to how it started and then progressed, if you wanna talk about telling a story, this man is surely a master Bard and psychedlic poet, a master craftsman.

Kudos Sammy!

Next came Max Earworm, what can I say about this rising young talent except he seems to outdo himself time after time. The man has found his groove and is happy to spread the love through reinvention of said groove with bountiful blessings of aural wizardy, he played some consistently real proper and tasty morning psytrance...

Thanks for the tremendous effort that went into producing this, it showed and somehow topped Halloween! Thanks to all attendees for your beautiful energy and warm vibes!!!The overall vibe was spectacular and couldnt help but feel at home, fam!! Thanx a million!!! Keep 'em comin guys!

this was a total banger. i had never been to refuge before, and i really liked the space. comfortable environment, pretty friendly staff, etc. it's weird to think people might be tired of it as tony said, after just 3 parties. places like the hook and exit are a lot less cool and have been used many more times! i guess some people are getting spoiled
getting back to the party, the deco was done right...intricate glowing tapestries depicting dreamlike environments, and geometric structures around the dancefloor. the music was top notch all night. hard and psychedelic, but not dark. the early part of CPU's set also didn't do it for me, but he made up for it in the second half. apparently he only had a handful of CPU on Acid tracks, which he built up to. i left in the morning with the same warm glow i used to get from going out back in the day. this is how parties should be done around here!
thanks to the r3psychle crew for all their hard work and good energy

I really enjoyed konflux and cognoscenti. It was intense nighttime music, but with a real groove and funk. wasn't too into CPU, good to see Nomolos on the line up. I think the smaller turnout had to do with high ticket prices/bad economy. No offense meant towards anyone, I'm just saying compared to Yogi Bogey Box's last one ya know.

Anyway, Parvati Recs is coming!

Great Party!
1st Class all the way - Music + Deco!
Some really refined Swiss Treats!
Especially enjoyed CPU on Acid - rare performance for this artist.
Of course I was on the floor from the moment I arrived until long after the music stopped.
No complaints.
Thanks Again for a TOP-NOTCH production!
Please keep these events coming!!!
