"Let's party all night and day long!!!" ...well, that's the way it used to be here in Mexico untill may 4th.
Things are going kinda crazy here in this country.
Let's start. Everything began saturday may 4th in Guadalajara, Jalisco in a 3 stage party featuring international, national and local DJ's. Everything was going cool as usual untill the police show up with like 300 to 800 police officers alone with other judicial local forces shuting the party off, inspecting people, touching girls and some other shit like that. Everything the authority did was wrong: violence and force abuse, rupting to a party in an ilegal way and mos of all: they took 4 guys whom still in jail for drug possesion charges which are still unconfirmed.
Guadalajara used to be such a beutiful place for partys and great scenario for internatinal DJ's like KoxBox, GMS, Infected Mushroom, Vibrasphere alone with many MANY others till the local authoritys changed everything.
The reazons according to local authoritys are drugs, derision and satanizm... can you belive that shit man!!! After read the reports and articles about that I simply got to the conclussion that ther's no ignorant people but the ones in Government.
Things got to affect not only Guadalajara but many other citys in Mexico, like Leon (where i'm from) where last friday we had aow first mainstream international DJ: Simon Posfort. The party was celebrated with almos 1000 people from Leon and towns from around alone with like 200 police officers around the party.
As we all know psychedelic partys usually last like 20 to 24 hours (or unleast they do in Mexico) but not this one. The party was suposed to start at 4pm. but the police made it start at 8pm. and finish at 3am... can you belive that?
Now I think that is more dangerous to send people at home at that time 'cus around 3am is closing time for bars and other nightclubs where people go and get drunk, so I think is riskyer to drive at 3am on acid or E exposing yourself to crash with some crazy ass wino on wheels than stay in a pleace where nobody is disturbing nobody... but thats the way things are down here...
This is what's goin' on here in Mexico... now it's getting tough to find a good-safe party around...

every now and then across the world the police r getting bored so they need someone 2 pick on... i'm sorry it's your turn, but what can u do... after some time they understand that the will of the people is much more powerfull than their force..
i hope 4 u that the time will b soon...
i've spent some time in Mexico and i've learn that u can always tip them and they become your best friend

one thing that I think they are takeing as an excuse is that Partys are getting biger and everywhere nowdays, so we are like the new kind of freaks around, you know? that's why I think they are after us...

I haven't had such a horrible experience, and I pray I never will. What a nightmare! I don't know a lot about the history of the party scene here in Japan, but I know some struggling did happen. Big respect for the party pioneers for their persistance in the struggle! At the moment the scene is so big, I think it would take a lot of motivation to shut it down. I pray that motivation is never there.

Roger my friend people dont have to be discrete because they are not doing anything bad at all.
Since when having good time is a crime?

well Detox in general u r right, but sometimes it's better 2 stay small discrete so the sharks won't come into your little pond. u might b a very nice fish, even agood looking one, but if the sharks r hungry, u might as well b the fucking Shiraz Tal of the fish, won't do u any good.

Dear DETOX, I think you didn't get my point there. What i was trying to say is that people can do everything they want, if they can only do those things without involving other people in it. Everyone has the right to have fun, but people should learn they have to respect to be respected and so on.

The scene in Mexico was really picking up so it's too bad that all this had to happen. What I found inspirational was that a protest was organized about a week after the 1500 people were harassed at the Guadalajara party. The peaceful, music filled protest attracted between 5 and 6 THOUSAND people....so I'm not too worried about the trance spirit in Mexico! They'll come through and find a way to keep the scene alive.
