The other day i bumped into my old friend whom i havent seen in many many years , he was still making music , and i got his phone and email so we could hookup to discuss and make some music.
The first thing we suddenly spoke about was the choice of sequencers, he was using some kind of tracker called renoise
http://www.renoise.com
and i myself was using cubase sx 2. The problem and thing was that i couldnt convince him and more important myself that cubase was much more than a tracker , ( last time i used trackers was on amiga 500 ) But these trackers have developed alot obviously .
What are the Direct difference between conventionel seq like logic and cubase , and trackers ? I know the graphic layout , but technically . ?

Probably the mixing and routing posibilities.
Also the intergration in a big studio with tons of i/o ports.
32bit automation resolution - automating anything seamlessly.
Scoring for video
Writing themes for Orchestras
Controlling all you midi equipment using one program - in sync with everything.
Probably many more features that you should trust that big sequencer.
A tracker is allways fun to come up with ideas though.

thanks Trip , i thought it was like 390983 features that seperated these two things , but when i looked at the homepage of the tracker , i could see it was able to implement alot of things .
