I need to remove the vocals from a song is their any plugin or effect that does this or can it also be done by some other way , eq or something ( i have tried eq but it does not give good results )

well, psypiv...
I don't know the reason that 'moves' you into this need, but I try to help...
Usually, vocals are mono recorded, and there's a little trick to cancel mono instruments in a mix...
After putting your song in a sequencer stereo track, send it (with 'pre fader' send) to a mono bus. In this bus you have to invert the phase (you can do this with a invert phase plugin).
The more you pull up the volume on this bus, the more you cancel the mono parts of the mix. This will act on everything mono of the song.
Hope this can be usefull in some way...

PsyJar - a lot of vocals in modern songs are not mono at all. There stereo effects such as reverb, and sometimes the vocals are recorded twice for each stereo side.
