Remote Controlling Cubase?

I'm new to Cubase after using FL Studio. In FL, to remote control any parameter, I'd tweak it in the software, then goto "Last Tweaked Parameter - Link To Controller" and move a knob on my controller to link it.
One thing I'm having trouble with is linking my controller to Cubase. I can control VST Instruments fine, but I don't know how to link something like a channel fader in the mixer to one of my controller's (Oxygen 8.) dials. Do I need to first tweak the control in Cubase and then find a MIDI Learn or Link To option before moving the control on my Oxygen?
Any help would be appreciated.  |
