Now Reloop is supposed to be quite a decent brand for copying real brand's products like Pioneer cd players/mixers and Technics turntables.
But I wonder if anyone on here has got any experience with the Reloop RMP2 cd player?
Is it supposed to be a 'copy' of the CDJ-800/1000?
If so, what are the main differences?
Not only specs wise, but mostly in terms of quality, like its pitch control, scratch capabilities?

I nearly bought 2 RMP-2 because I was attracted by their look and thought that the quality couldn't be so bad...
Then I read a lot of buyer's review, and something that came back *each* time was "Their not that bad, but I wish I'd spared money for a bit longer and went with a pioneer"...
True, there's alot of funny effects, but if you're a bit serious, you'll either never use them, or you'll use a kaoss pad/mixer's effects instead...
Now, the best thing I that after deciding not to buy them, I discovered the Pionner CDJ-400, and I must say that this is going to pwnz everything, there's a usb entry on them, so you can put any usb key/portable hddrive and play the audio files which are on them, or you can plug both cd players into your controller and use them as MIDI controller in a mixing software...
They're a bit expensive where I live (around 800 euros), but if you Google them you can find them for 529 dollars each ! Half the price !
The reviews are extremely positive, the only negative thing being the fact that the jog-wheel is a bit small, thusfore scratching isn't *that* confortable of them (still very possible thought), but anyway if you're not going to mix HipHop this won't concern you at all...
Pioneer is the shit man, and this product is like *exactly* what I was looking for !
Hope that helped
(For objectivity's sake, I must admit that those are my first cd-players and that I'm gonna start learning mixing on them, so maybe I'm a bit overexcited ! Just check for them on the web, read the review, look for them on youtube, you'll have much more professional opinions aswell as a better view of its possibilities this way!) |
