like ambient with some element of reggae?
mybe reggae singin or just instrumants...

Actually theres two diffrent styles of dub AFAIK.
DUB (The old school Rubba Dubba Style)
Electro Dub (More spacey atmospheres and more "psychedelic" inspiered sounds 
2nd one is my favourite, i´ll ask my friend when he comes back from where ever he is

try to find a compilation called : on a dub mission, its great but im not sure its around
another good one is MORE BASS THEN SPACE
both from mdma rec.

sounds like it could be really interesting .. good idea mad hatter, i think im going to check some of these things out ..
a lot of bob marley has een remixed into ambient , there is even a sun is shining ambient remix .

ok, if u want some real kool dubbish minimal techno/elektronika here are some names:
try stuff from tikiman he`s an MC of dub who sings on very kool music.
i would try stuff from pole (the master of german minimal\dub scene) on his label ~scape.
chain reaction and burial mix are great dubby techno music from berlin. www.hardwax.com

Actually there are plenty of wellknown artists producing dub nowadays...in a more electronicway( not dub roots )i liked very much nick doof's latest material...as well as simon's ( nomads of dub) indeed on a dub mission - tua rec. is a great compilation and i heard theres a pretty new one coming out of the oven...
