when i hear problems in my mix that i didn't hear at my studio, at regular speakers at not treated room, what should i do?
should i take it seriously? should i hear it in few speakers and then decide if i realy have problem or it was this specific room?
what do you do?

It would be best to listen to it in a few rooms and take an average. If there is a problem somewhere there is bound to be a problem at more places. Denying the problem won't get you much further i'd say.

unless you're working in a multi-million dollar mixing room, there's still going to be a lot of acoustic problems in your studio. the way to combat this is basically just to know your speakers and your room as best you can. listen to lots of commercially produced stuff on them so you know how a pro track 'should' sound coming out of your speakers, then attempt to emulate this sound.

if you've had your headphones for 6 years and know them really well, and know how a good track sounds on them, then there is nothing wrong with using them to make mix decisions. it's all about knowing your source and how it effects the sound

if you hear some problems when listening on other speakers or headphone you should fix them and then see how it sound on your monitors , even a 100$ speaker can show you few things better than a monitor costing 10 times the price.

No it is not really the best reference. It is just one reference. It should also sound good on a car stereo, on your ipod, at a karaokeparty and on boom festival .

The more different systems it sounds good on the better. But in the end it cant sound perfect on every system. So you just have to find a good balance.

Try to make it sound good everywhere. It is possible. What's the point in musicthat sounds good on monitors in studio only?

i have got another question on this.
today i listened to 2 tracks i worked on recently at my car. i felt like the sound quality of the tracks is not good. like i there is a fog on my tracks.
it's not specific sounds and it's not the busy parts of the tracks. it's hard to explain it...
one of those tracks i uploaded to the "workshop" forum here, and i got pretty good coments.
so why does it fills to me not good at my car?
it's fills to me like mp3 192kbs compare to professionals tracks.

This is other thing better do somtimes in freinds houses , In your car , But there is no any connection to what i write up there .. If you have an flat pro monitors you will never miss any sound in .

Maybe the other speakers/monitors you have listen with your music in are crap and those in your studio are great .

All can be .. You have to know whats going on , Ppls can write you here and write and write but in the end the problam there its yours . Only you have the answer for , Only you can solve it .
