recoreded speech - sound very bad

hi ppl!
How I can improve sound quality of speech that was recorded in the little tape with bulit in mic
the most needed is to reduce the echo

You can never improve what is recorded. You have to start with something better.
But you can clean it up a bit with with noise reduction and eq. You could try a gate also.
I have no idea how to remove echo in a recording. |

Maybe u could use that echo as a noise sample and remove it but thats just maybe..
Whats recorded bad can never improve much.. U can remove noize but u sample will suffer more on quality..

there is a plugin from ... waves (?) doing amazing results in the voice-package. its a gater specialiced on bad voice recordings. realy good stuff. dont know the name yet. you should give it a try.
