Hi,

I've got a Shure SM58 & am using it to record vocals with a presonus firebox..

I'm trying to do this in sound forge but when i open up a file to record i only get one channel either left or right depending on which input i plug it into..Am i doing something wrong?           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

one mic= mono, so you record in mono, nothing wrong...

i dont use sound forge, i havent since a long while back so i cant tell you how it works...

often you use the left channel for mono, it says on many inputs and outputs Left/mono but i believe you can record on which ever.(maybe someone has a explaination?)

anyway arent you able to choose mono when you record? if you want stereo you have to copy to the other channel... or save as stereo and it might do it automatically...
