i'm looking for a program that can record what i hear from my computer. (i prefer a small program, not something gignatic)
i mean if i play some track and i want to record part of it so i will have only that part of the track.
if any of you got creative sound blaster live, u know what i mean, it's bundled with a program called "creative recorder" and it has the option of "what u hear" recording.
thanks in advance.
u can find "Anything U Want" using the search... |

I always had a difficult time using Sound Blaster. I once got it right and was able to record into Sound Forge or Acid, but I never understood how.
My advice is to buy a better soundcard with more routing options. The E-MU 1212 will do fine and once you configure it's virtual mixer you'll be able to record DVD audio, capture a DJ mix, record your own synth sounds or other samples as you play, etc.

you can record any stream of audio in a "what you hear" manner, if you have an audio editor./.....set up your in's and out's correctly and it should do that trick

my old sound blaster had an option in mixer "what you hear" so you could set that to your rec source
but my new firewire 410 doesnt...
also i can not get penguin audio meter work on this because it kinda requires "what you hear"
i believe that istn possible on some of the "proper" sound cards |
