-Microphone / direct line-out (connected with) line-in of your soundcard.
-Open a wav-editor (Steinberg Wavelab for example)
-Record it.
-Normalize it to 0db Maximum
-Denoise it. (Plugin)
-Cut the samples you like.
-Import the samples into your sequencer (Cubase)

There are 2 preferred ways to record electric guitar (by me anyway)
1. Guitar to Guitar Amp and from its' line out jack to line in of the Audio Card
2. Guitar to Guitar Amp and with microphone close (but not to close) to the amp pick up the sound from the Amp. The microphone goes to Mic Pre-amp and from there to Audio Card.

the problem is the quality of the recording.to rec. a idea, the SB- Card is enough. but then take a pre-amp and the LINE input. the noiseratio is better.
for take a professionel rec. u need a prof. soundcard, price between 200 -1000 $.
for all of this- u need fun.
in this mind - boom

ithink the hard part after the recording will be the part of removing all un-wanted backround noises...

Try to use a expander to expand your S/N-Ratio or gateout som noise/sounds that you dont need. Also try som noizewash but that part is hard noisewash can affect the sound in bad way.. Use EQ... Another way is to use an "compander" but they are used on taperecorders and i dont know if it will work when you record audio to digital data.. A compander work this way when you record ju compress the signal with a ratio at 2:1 (forexample) The when the sound is playdback you expand the signal with ratio at 1:2 then if theory works you will have double S/N-Ratio... Good Luck!

an expander/multiband expander is good idea (you may want to compress some freq bands), also a noise removal plug-in. I hear that noise gates are often used on recording guitars, but I have no experience of it myself. Maybe worth a try.
