U can record it trough yo bass combo , with a mic
if u have a good mic for this , u can get much better
results and more control over the sound .
Maybe u will need also a d-box for recording .
Anyway, if u going to mic it up, it depends on the
room were u do yo recording, so experimenting
it's the name of the game . |

The Best Way is recording a guitar on a clean, clear sound through a line-in, and than EQ it, and add effects. much more manipulatble that way.

That is you you have an amplifier.
If you don't plug it in the mic input.

clean sound is easier to manipulate. you can allways lay one effects on a clean sound, but on a distorted one, the effects may vary.

my best suggestion will be a combination of line in and amp - use a preamp from which u connect to the sound card - use an amplifier's earphone out for that purpose. this way u can put as many pedals as u want b4 the amp and still have a clear sound though i strongly recommend u DO NOT use pedal delays on trance cus they are so unaccurate and will deffinatly fuck up your mix . same with reverb (much better accuracy from pluggins).

i think that accuracy depends on the user only ,
some pedal fx has really good sound . |

Delay & reverb pedal better than soft fx? Come on..
Maybe if you're talking about flangers, distortion, overdrive, etc. then pedals are better. But not with delay.
