Train your ears more like...all this stuff will come to you as you make more tunes/practice and train your ears. The people that get the best mixes are the ones that have trained their ears the most, especially the ones that consistently play on big systems and know what a mix in their studios is supposed to sound like, in order to sound great on a big system. The basic info people post is useful as a starting point if you are a complete n00b, but no amount of forum reading will substitute for practicing/careful listening/ear training.

This is just a rough sketch of what you can expect when EQ'ing...

Every track (sound) is differnt you need to find out where that sound fits in best with your whole mix. Your tring to get all your freqs working together for harmony. Everything needs to compliment each other. Ultimatly its up to you to figure it out no guide will be able to tell you what your missing.

Could be very usefull when learning though thanx for sharing.
