Only for the past years, the musical literature has started to relate seriously to the trance.
Could someone reccomend about some book which could enrich trance lover's life? |

Stone Junction by Jim Dodge. Read it.
doubt it's translated, though.
Also Hakim Bey - T.A.Z. - Temporary Autonomous Zone. |

Psygirl, the thread you wrote here is about psychedelic literature. not about trance...
Most of other pplz replies here were about psychedelic books, not necessarily related to trance....
I just wander, was that the intention of the topic poster??

Any book you enjoy (and even some you dont) enriches your life. Even Crime and Punishment (Dostoyevsky) I once went to a trance festival with 'Alice in Wonderland' in my bag. So psychedelic
so, T.D.R., what did you mean? psychedelic books? trance info? science fiction? encyclopedias?

well some books that enriched my life(dont know if they are exactly what you are looking for):
huxley - brave new world/island(both are classics in my opinion)
milan kundera - the unbearable lightness of being(pretty messes up your brain, a really crazy idea in each sentence. hard to read but a must)
`Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot |

"A short history of nearly everything" -Bill Bryson
Thats a great book! I recommend anyone who is intrested in 'nearly everything' to go read it!
But of course there are my 2 favourite books:
"The Lord of the Rings" - J. R.R Tolkien
Anyone who smokes should read this, the movies were amazing (I thought), but the books REALLY open a new world in your mind. Throw away ur prejudices about geeky elves and read this book, its literally modern mythology.
"100 years of Solitude" - Garcia Marquez
For anyone who hasnt read this all-encompassing piece of literature, do. This book symbolically covers all major issues in the history of our planet. Marquez made himself famous with his 'fantastical realism', his own world where wars against big corporations exist simultaneous to flying carpets.

The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe.
My favourite book ever.
Fierce Dancing by CJ Stone.
I'd recommend 'The Illuminatus' Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson as well. And Lord of the Rings. And all the Tolkien stuff if you like LOTR.
Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.
Jonathan Livingstone Seagull by Richard Bach
Naked Lunch by William Burroughs
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance by Robert M. Pirsig
Fierce Dancing is probably the only one with much to do with going to raves but they'll all enrich your life. "One nation under a groove". |

I started reading 'Steppenwolf' years ago when staying with some distant family but ended up moving on before I finished it. Cheers for reminding me, I think I might pick it up again. I'm not reading anything at the moment!
