Yes, i knew that it was unnecessary to inform it in public, thats why i did apologies first.. but the message was through contact page at your website, i hope not more messages are lost, until you are the one who want to serve well..

I'm still curious after your mastering skills, so maybe i will contact again           - - - - -

From what I have heard I can say in this forum Colin is likely the best mastering engineer... and a lot of labels seem to agree with me...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

i have tried tim shuldt. to be honest i didn't like it so much, and also on his own music, sometimes i think the mastering is too heavy.

also tried xenomorph, colin, emasters, ross random, overdream, manifold, as well as had demos made by others, and masters from a few more less known ones. don't believe hype research and hear for yourself and ask for demos from the mastering houses.

from all of these i can recommend either manifold or overdream. the others either i didn't like the price, the sound or the service.

all down to personal taste what you are after.. none of you guys probably like the same sound .. ask for free demo on your tunes if possible..

i like to add an analog taste at mastering stage, thats why i prefer someone who has the gear for it, but of course not only gear help, you have to know how to use it.. It really make difference in todays digital word if at least final stage is creaming some analog character on top.

I do hear lot of good feedback from overdream mastering, he did master one of my friends album. They choose him from blind test, even there was more popular mastering guys init..           - - - - -

i second that it is all up to taste and what you personally expect from your mastering service. its good to get some input but you have to have your material (a lot of the mastering output is in the mix input already!) test mastered by the respective engineer.

you will not make a mistake with either overdream or colin oood as far as my own experiences are.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

-15 average RMS means peak around -10 to -5 i think.. i didn't calculate it but around there i suppose..

The more headroom you leave for mastering the better the master will be that i know.           - - - - -

THanks, I guess I know now what is meant.

And are there guys here who master their stuff themself and get decent results AND tried to use eyternal mastering and got REALLY better results?

Cause I tried 2 guys in the past, but their master wasnt *much* better than my own... so I skipped and mastered myself. However if a master guru does it, it should sound much better, tight??           http://soundcloud.com/alphaquadrant

You could try my brother , Gerry, mate. He does a lot of mastering for techno and DnB outfits here in Ireland but his first true love is Goa and Psytrance and he has mastered a few of those as well.

Drop him a mail at acmetoonz@live.co.uk and he'll give you any details you need.           https://soundcloud.com/craic-addict
