Had a chance to watch it this past week, great movie. Gets its place in my top movies of 2009 for sure. Based on a true story of criminals in the States, mainly John Dillenger played greatly by Depp. Christian Bale also does an awesome job.
Highly recommended gansta movie `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

+1.
"Where The Wild Things Are": It's cute. But totally ordinary.
Spike Jonze can do much better than that.

a documentry on the band after jason newstead left, and the rough patch while making st. anger.. the funny thing is that the documentary really harps on the ego conflicts between james hedfield and lars ulrich.. i wonder why they went public with it this way, revealing each other as they really are. the documentary doesn't really place metallica as the greatest band ever in all aspects but shows what all the alcohol, drugs and fame has done to them!
if you are a hard core metallica fan, you might wanna watch it!

I was a big appriciator of Metalica back in the early 90s..lightning and stuff.. the ultra speed solos and real power. From 2000 on I found them rather lame and as the bassist from Suicidal Tendencies has crossed their ways I was expecting sth more powerful- but well they earn big bucks now.But it sounds interesting ,I'll go for that watching. Thanks - Forest your tips are fine.

^ It's awesome.
Just watched "Up In The Air".
Same things as Juno, but with different plots.
Modern and contemporary shooting and some basic thoughts about human beings and their necessities and routines.
If you liked "Juno", this should be a handful.

dint watch the whole thing, i dont know, dint like it all that much - i would have rather watched the show if it would've happened. what i distinctly liked about the whole thing is that MJ himself managed most of everything.. like the music direction, the dance direction etc etc.. which is great compared to all the other pop acts who simply come on stage and are told what to do! pfft!

saw it this weekend. I dunno, to me it definetly felt like Guy Ritchie, especially the parts of fighting and frozen imagery he uses. I thought it was a pretty entertaining movie, nothin too special but still recommended. Robert Downey Jr. does a good job.
