nords are a lot simpler and good to learn about synthesis on, and also very quick and easy to program. viruses are more complex, but that opens the door to more expressive sounds.

I dont agree with tht ,,
n e one who knows the basics of subtractive synthesis would be able to operate the virus machine with ease.
i dont what nord model ur talking about ,,, but the nord modular g2 series will require heavy synthesis skills to get desired sounds out of it.
also the new ti version is great !!!
the ability to use it as vsti , takes it one step ahead of the other synths ...
whereas the nord modular has tht option ,, but the programming is quite difficult from what ive heard .
anyways ,, i would suggest to u the virus c as a begginers synth n e day !!
www.synthplanet.com
you can get a brand new access virus c for 1000 us dollars !!! so why hesitate
just go for it ,,, and u wont be sorry

bomksi !

For Sure Nord Lead 2, 2x and even 3 are lot simplier than any Virus.

Virus is indeed a very complex synth, I begginer will need to read the manual a lot of times!

I want to say again that if I were you, I'd get a C, because it has more polyphony, EQ, extra Moog-modelled filters and other goodies that B lacks.           When rain dries, clouds form.

Yep, I actually passed on that kB and I'm waiting for a kC to show up. It seems that only desktop verions of the C are being sold here in Italy ATM. Anyway, if a keyboard version doesn't come along shortly I may grab one of them. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

THX everyone!

Good luck with Virus hunting. If you can't get a kC, you can buy a separate MIDI keyboard.
